no, people are not doing that.

People are bashing kobe stans for saying that KOBE has potential to be a GOAT when it is all said an done, or that he is a top 5 player of all time.

You need great teams to win, plain and simple.

Don't you dare say that's too small a sample size, because it's the same sample size you're giving LeBron.

    Tadaaaaaa.
Kobe Shot 46% (which is close to his season average of 47% that year) before he twisted his ankle in game 2. (Which caused him to miss the rest of the game after 9 minutes and sit out of game 3). Even so he came back and led the Lakers to victory in game 4 with a legendary performance.

    Quote:
Due to Kobe Bryant's ankle injury, Indiana was able to get back into the series. Kobe's absence was felt as the Pacers had an 11-2 run in the first quarter to take an 8-point lead.

The Lakers tried to make a run to get back into the game, but once they did Indiana answered with 12 straight points and led by 17. The Lakers were desperate and attempted another run to get within 3 points but Reggie Miller nailed all his free throws at the end of the game to give Indiana a 9-point win.
Then in Game 4 he single-handedly carried the team when Shaq fouled out in the 4th. He hit 4 huge free throws and lit the Pacers up in overtime in what is regarded as on of the best playoff clutch performances.

Kobe saved the Lakers from eventually going down in that series 2-3 and being on the brink of elimination.

They could have easily lost that series if it weren't for his clutch performance.

Also Kobe shot 52% in that game. LeBron never came close to 50% in the '07 Finals; 25%, 43%, 39% and 33%. Not to mention he had almost as many turnovers as assists that series (23-27).

In all most important and all that matters is that Kobe won a championship, LeBron got swept.

IF SHAQ WAS PLAYING LEBRON WOULD HAVE HAD MORE SHOTS AND MORE GAMES TO TRY..

Kobe lost the 2002-3 SERIES VS THE SPURS cuz he had more turnovers than assists in that series as well.. Yet he was playing with Shaq and in the triangle... I could bring up more but I am feeling bad for kobe..

If? If your aunt had balls, she would be you uncle....

    And? He has 5 rings.

Yeah, the Lakers lost to the Spurs in '03 with Kobe and Shaq both with injured. Anyway he just came of a 3-peat so he earned a lee-way. No team has won 4 straight championships besides the 60's Celtics, no shame in winning 3 straight rings and then coming up short the next year.
