Haplotypes nearer the equator finish growing earlier around 16-18, whereas Scandinavians sometimes grow until they're 23.

I admit, he isn't the typical wirey, extremely raw player we see from africa. He has good size, an obvious hunger for the basket, seemingly good positioning (against lesser opponents at least). He is definitely a quick study. If he goes to a good team they will probably stash him overseas for another season or 2, if he goes to a bad team, we may see what he can do in the league right away.
I see more potential in him than past prospects who were high on potential.

Bismack with a triple double today at the Nike Hoops Summit against the best US high school prospects.

    12 points/11 rebounds/10 blocks.

By the way anyone notice that all the players coming out of the Congo have jacked bodies? Serge and Bismack are both really young still yet are shredded and jacked and then you have Mbenga. Something in their water

    Weight: 243 lbs.
    Height (w/o shoes): 6'7.75"
    Height (w/ shoes): 6'9"
    Wing Span: 7'7"
    Body Fat: 4.8%
    Standing Reach: 9'3"

I think it has an ideal body for a PF, but I doubt he can play as center in the NBA. I am delighted by their performance in the game, I think it can be a boost to his career, and hopefully he can fulfill his dream of reaching the league.

Congolese have had it rough because of war and also they had the bad luck of being colonized by the Belgians, but it looks like a beautiful place and I'd love to visit.
