Yeah that's what I hear. I like the Amare Stoudemire/big man shoes.

The Huarache 08's might be the most underrated shoes out there right now. Alot of people forgot about them because of how hyped the Hyperdunks were. My gf got me a pair during Black Friday for about 60 bucks and they are easily the best basketball shoes I have put on. The cushioning is much more sturdier than the lunar foam cushioning in the Hyperdunks. They are light and also have really good grip. Might be the diamond in the rough of bball shoes because places like Finishline have em for 79 bucks.

    how about the TS Creators?
does anyone have em, or can anyone tell me about em?
I wanted Hyperdunks but the durability concerns me! So I found the Creators.

Well all of your claims proved prophetic. After six months of playing, my Hyperdunks tore. After a sudden change of direction in-game, my left foot felt like it was standing on an uneven surface. Upon further inspection, there was a 2-3 inch tear in the outer cushion. I can't tell how deep it is, and I can still play in the them for now, but I feel their days are limited.

While you will likely only find Hyperdunks on bargain bins by now, after taking into account all the stories of their limited lifespan, I would caution anyone considering a purchase - even at a reduced price. I do not have the money to pump into a couple of new basketball shoes every single year, so this kind of bums me out.
