I haven't read any posts and I'm sure it's been mentioned in here....but how did Miller fall that bad?

Rose wasn't even going fast and the crossover had a blatant pause in the middle, it wasn't fluid and any player should be able to stay in front of that.

He just wasn't prepared to go left, that's all. Rose fooled him. When Miller tried to change directions with him, he couldn't keep his footing. Clumbsy move in reality, but it looked really nice.

Andre Miller thought Rose was going straight to the rack with the pull up. He's done it in the game where he drove hard/fast, stopped and his leaping ability hit the jumper. Rose knew what he was doin. I'm not mad.

by watching highlights of that game, you can learn all you need to know about Derrick Rose. that sequence was sick, as was his air on the alley-oop.

I am not sure how to describe Rose... or who to compare him to.

If Baron Davis, Deron Williams, and Devin Harris had a threesome, they would produce a D-Rose.

    Another Rose Highlights.

He's definitely one of the most athletic PG in the NBA. Kid is going to be a future NBA All Star.

This Blocked reminds me of an Episode of the Slamdunk Anime Series.

That was way better than I thought it would be. One of the best cross overs I've ever seen. Just because of how badly Miler fell down. That is literally ankle breaking.

Damn..I didn't watch that Bulls vs 76ers game but I would assume that Rose officially made Miller his ***** that night.

What impresses me most about Rose is he looks like a vet on the court. He looks very calm out there. You expect rookies to play out of control at times or sometimes playing too fast but not Rose.

How is his rookie yr compared to rookie yrs or paul, deron?

It actually wasn't a traditional "crossover," but what it was was a lightning change of direction at full or near full speed in both directions. Very few players could do that (maybe Deron/CP3/Wade). It's an elite change of direction at speed.

That move is actually MORE difficult to stay in front of than a "regular" crossover, because it's a super hard move in one direction and then a lightning quick change of direction with the entire body, all at full speed, to the other side. He essentially changed directions so quickly that Miller couldn't turn his defensive stance at all before Rose was on the other side of him.

A lot fewer players in the league can do what Rose did than can do a "regular" crossover to lose a defender. There was a "blatant pause" because Rose was actually changing the direction of his entire body while maintaining forward motion at speed. That's not what happens on a typical crossover.

    that's that Chicago in him.

chicago ballers like wade and rose grow up humble because the streets do that to you. you are humble for your gifts because you realize how blessed you really are and because chitown gangstas won't let you trip up your life when you are young because they realize you actually have a ticket out of the hood/pushing that white. chicago ballers don't get all big headed like those new york ballers do like sebastien telfair or stephon marbury.
