The same could be said for men too... but there is a difference between having short person syndrome and being naturally dominant/submissive. To me it has more to do with getting noticed being short.

Edit: additionally now that I think about it, I think tall girls are self conscious about their height and shy because of it. Girls aren't supposed to be tall.

Males are expected by society to be taller, short men sometimes overcompensate

Tall women are sometimes ostracized by society. Growing up like that tends to make people introverted, which makes them more likely to be submissive/permissive.
