he had a good preseason and suddenly he is the best PF in the nba and the only guy who can average 20/10

with gordon, holiday and reke on the team there is no way in hell he averages 20/10... the only way i see it if these players get injured and the team starts sucking... which love and blake already did, so its not impressive... impressive is 20/10 on a championship contender

Davis will get really close to average 20/10 but he won't imo. It not easy averaging 20+ ppg especially when you are 21 years old, and on his team there are sever players that can easily end up having 15+ ppg seasons.

Also Love won't either, Pekovic won't give up many rebounds.

Howard is pretty much the only one that will accomplish it most likely.

Who Davis? Last year Gordon was always out due injuries while Holiday and Evans weren't on the team.

Yeah, you average 20/10 in your career by not being able to play.

CP3 and Deron might have a chance with assists.

If he is, then that's really stupid. AD was playing at weight of 210 last year and he was constantly abused by the more powerful bigs (i.e Cousins,Gasol,Howard, etc) and a lot of his injuries were just shitty luck, like the concussion that Rivers gave him. He's now playing at a weight of 230. Obviously that's not huge but he wont be abused/pushed around as much.

But here is thatguy's orignal post in this thread:

The overrating of Davis is reaching Blake levels.
    No mention of injuries.

People keep saying how the guards in the team are going to take all the shots, sure they may end up taking shots from AD but check this out...

    Eric Gordon: .402%
    Jrue Holiday: .431%
    Austin Rivers: .372%
    Brian Roberts: .412%
    Ryan Anderson: .423%

That looks like a whole bunch of rebounds to me. AD is monster on the offensive glass, he's gunna have like 3-4 buckets just off of putbacks per game So theres 6-8 points. Throw in lets say 4 free throws a game, that gets him up to around 10-12ppg already without him even generating his own offense.

And so far this pre season he looks like he has been moving well off the ball as well as taking the bigger guys marking him of the dribble from the perimeter.

Now I'm not saying he's gunna get 3-4 buckets off his own offense this season, but it just feels like it's well within the realms of possibilities for him with the makeup of the current squad.

    This kid is something special.

What amazes me is how high his floor is. His ceiling is mind boggling.

He does a little bit of everything and shoots the FT well for his size.
