Smart move. He'd learn a lot backing up the MVP.

Agreed, who wouldn't want to learn from the 2007 Finals MVP?

at Griffin being mediocre. Clippers are far from crap without him, they are slightly above average with upside to improve. They went 6-6 without him this year in the most brutal part of their schedule all season. Had Billups been healthy I think that could have been something like 8-4. They would be a low playoff seed without CP3 but Griffin and Bledsoe would also blossom with the ball more and eventually they would be a top 4 seed anyways.

The Clippers have no post game or shooters, think about it, they all benefit from CP3. They have no solid post player and no lights out shooters.

Wonder how Griffin is 2nd in the NBA in points in the paint to Lebron then? Or how the Clippers have Houston Rocket like quarters this year of 35-40+ points with no shooters. Weird how that all adds up.

The Clippers without CP3 wouldn't even qualify for the playoffs

Not really good:
But since we are speculating, Paul would instantly make them contenders. Gay, DeRozan, Ross, and Amir Johnson would be making highlight reels daily, at worst, I guess...

Where could he go realistically that would put him in a better situation?
Thunder sign him and slide Westbrook to the 2?

I like the athleticism they have on the wings. But still think they gave Demar and Bargnani too much money

The Clippers had the 3rd or 4th biggest win percentage turnaround in NBA history last year and have gotten a lot better this year already. Think of it from CP3's perspective. Your team is improving rapidly and went from lotto team to contender in just two seasons. You can get an extra 25 million cash AND you get to rack in all these extra endorsements and LA spotlight. I've never seen CP3 in tons of commercials like he is now.
His family loves LA like crazy and always talk about it.
I have seen Howard this year. In an injury riddled year he is still the best C in the league. He may never return to MVP form, but it's not like he's that far off.
Horford isn't a bad fit with Dwight either, he's got a great offensive game, and isn't a bad defender.

Horford
Howard
They'd be an instant contender, and incredibly complimentary. If Paul, and Howard, and Smith took paycuts they could sign Smith as well. Not that that is likely, but look at the cHeat.
They would be three all stars (two top 5 players if Howard gets healthy) all in the prime of their careers.

Hawks
Howard, Horford, Paul is a contending big 3. They way Teague is playing you could get a lot for him in a trade if you were not gonna keep him.
Rockets
CP3 and Harden best backcourt in the league.
Mavs
Dirk, Paul, Howard is contending as well.
