Steve Nash, Alejandra Amarilla Are Getting a Divorce

By Brett Pollakoff NBA Writer | Follow on Twitter: @BrettEP

http://www.blogcdn.com/nba.fanhouse....a-amarilla.jpgSteve Nash and his wife, Alejandra Amarilla, have announced their intention to dissolve their marriage, according to a report from Life & Style.

The timing here is fairly surprising, considering that early Friday morning the couple welcomed into the world their third child (and first son), Matteo Joel Nash. Nash and Amarilla had been together for nine years, and were married in 2005.

"I am very thankful and excited that we have a new son, Matteo Nash," Steve said in a statement to Life & Style. "Alejandra and the baby are doing fine. But this is a bittersweet moment for my wife and I; after five years, we are now in the process of dissolving our marriage.

"While we have lived separately for the past several months, we remain firmly committed to raising our children in the most positive, nurturing way possible. I want only good things for Ale going forward; right now, I'm focused on ensuring that our children understand how much they're loved and adored by us as they continue to adjust to these changes. I would ask that their privacy, and ours as a family, be respected as we move forward. This will be my only statement on this."

Despite the personal issue, Nash appeared to be in good spirits on Friday night. He had 28 points, seven rebounds, and 14 assists, while leading the Phoenix Suns to a 103-89 home victory over the Sacramento Kings.

Santonio Holmes is one clutch playmaker.

The Jets haven't played well lately tho. They really need to stop with the penalties and the stupid plays. Nick Folk sucked today.

    Sanchez was very impressive.

He was kicking in the wind too.

But yeah, we have been winning lately on heroics, and pure will to not lose.

Not being able to see the games and searching franticly for updates is gutwrenching. We really have to do something about Schottenheimer tho.He just is too reactive and not proactive. The D is supposed to adjust to what we're doing on O....not the other way around. We can't move the ball until the 4th quarter. He has no creativity in his gameplans. When we do something creative,he never goes back to it.For instance,we dont use Brad Smith nearly enough.I can probably count on one hand how many plays he's had that didnt yield positive yardage.

I really don't want to say it but the Giants don't deserve to win tonight, and they won't. They sucked on defense. Not just the secondary, which is horrible but there is no pressure on Kitna at all. Just one sack all game, that's not Giants football. They have allowed huge plays through the air and haven't been able to find the end zone with the exception of one play. They have been horrible. Losing a game to the worst team in the NFL. If the Eagles win tomorrow the Giants will lose their division-leading position in the NFC East.

That was one exciting game. They shouldn't have allowed the Texans to get back into the game tho. I thought this game was done after the 3rd quarter. Bad turnovers and mistakes on defense.

Mark Sanchez, Braylon Edwards and Santonio Holmes delivered once again in crunchtime tho. This team has pulled off some amazing wins in close games. But we should be able to put teams away earlier.

Andre Johnson was stuck on Revis Island.

Santonio Holmes isn't on the Pro Bowl Ballot.

    That's rediculous.

Go vote guys. Put the Jets and Giants players in that game.

Jets win 26-10 over the Bengals.

Special teams was very good, especially Brad "One Shoe" Smith. The defense was fantastic as well. Both Ochocinco and T.O. were shut down. Did anyone hear T.O.'s trash talk to Revis this week? Revis got Owens just like last year. 8 targets, 3 catches, 17 yards.
Offense wasn't fantastic for Jets standards tho.
