Any Season Predictions.....
Baring any changes to the roster to this point. Do you have a record prediction? Playoff predictions? And why?
This is an ever evolving topic. Based on injuries changes to the roster, competitors injuries etc....

What kind of record for the season do you imagine?
Any reason why wire to wire Atlantic Leader?

I predict we'll be better than last year but in the bottom half of the playoff seeding. I think I had us 6 or 7th. I also can't imagine our roster remaining the same. We have more SG's than we need and not enough PGs. Calderon, Prigioni and Larkin as your PGs is not gonna cut it.

Re: Any Season Predictions.....
After I catch a little pre-season action, I'll have a loose prediction. I have no feel for this group as of yet, but I believe they will make the playoffs barring any injuries.

Everything just went so smooth for Toronto last year, esp for Lowry and Derozen. I may not have too logical of a reason but I don't see things falling into place so perfect for them this time. Now instead. Of a contract year for Lowry and a year deepen finally stepped up I think those 2 guys in particular will come once some huge heads and feeling like stars. Add to that the chances of consecutive injury free seasons? Toronto just isn't good enough to count them as a favorite. The Knicks right now are more talented and after a trade it isn't even close b
Without a trade: 47-48ish wins
With a trade:52-55

45 wins, playoffs. Maybe 6th or 7th. I see Nets (they brought in a system coach who likes a system that doesn't fit them), Bobcats (they brought in bad apples to a team that is all about effort and heart) and Pacers falling back a bit.

I think the Knicks are going to make the playoffs this year. I'll say 45-37.

Re: Any Season Predictions.....
From what I've seen so far (all Vegas games and pre-season thus far), Knicks will be lucky to make the playoffs. We still have a handful of players that need to be moved, and Larkin/Early have a large learning curve ahead. Caldy leaving the game hobbled last night bothered me; as much as I like Prigi he's getting on and being torched by younger PG's.
That's not to say they won't get it together after 25 games... we may have a trade ahead. But there are too many eastern teams ahead of us chemistry-wise. I have no expectations other than enjoying an interesting season full of changes.

Re: Any Season Predictions.....
I have waited and all things being equal this team is a 40 win team. This is barring trades or injuries. The positive is the team is considerably younger but there isnt enough NBA ready talent on the squad.

Well, the schedule to start the season is pretty tough. If the Knicks can start well I think it may give them a boost. On the other hand, this team doesn't seem really mentally tough so if things go downhill from the start who knows what might happen.

Amare and Bargs only slow this team down, so I'm expecting one of them to be gone by the trade deadline. Knicks need more scoring options.

I was going to say I couldnt see Amare being traded but as the Knicks second best scorer and if he maintains health anything is possible.
