NBA 2K12: My Player Mode

The rim and backboard are still illusions. Hands phase through them all the time. I was getting the rebound and I noticed I got the goaltend. I checked the replay and I did not goaltend as my player grabbed the ball right outside the cylinder, but the rebound animation forced my guy to put the ball through the hoop in order to secure it with both hands.

YES no one ever talks about this but the rim and backboard are not tangible when interacting with players without the ball. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten blocked through the backboard or through the rim. It wasn't as big an issue in previous 2K games because the CPU wasn't so overly aggressive as they are in 2K12. They also didn't have the instantaneous reaction times that the CPU defenders have in 2K12.

And Fiasco, I broke the steals record with 15 . I am leading the league in steals at 5.1 per game and I'm like 3rd in DPOY voting.

Wow, I thought that was one of the more noticeable issues. I remember doing some sick reverse jams only to figure out that my player was only able to do it because he dunked it through the backboard.

Oh yeah players and the ball still morph through each other at times. But imo, it's not as bad as it used to be in 2K11 or 2K10. It usually only happens now when the CPU does an up and under move. They just shoot it right through me and/or get a foul.

Or it happens when they are dribbling in traffic. Instead of dribbling off of someone's foot (like I do) they just dribble the ball through their feet so they can keep possession.

Wow, I just hit a game winner in Paul Pierce's face. We were up by 13 going into the half and I had to sit with 4 fouls in the 3rd, and when the 4th started we were down by 1.

Fiasco diaries 22/06/12: Today I won MVP. LeBron broke his leg or some shit and he was slated to miss the rest of the season when I got 'traded' to Miami. He came back after ASW.

Wish I could write "Typical LeBron", but I guess he's going to have to ride my coattails to his first title, just like Kobe and Gasol rode me for another 2 (no homo).

Fun Fiasco Facts (FFF): Was the 15th overall pick by the Suns, got traded to LA after I put Nash on the bench when I started averaging 15/9/5 with 2 steals per game in my rookie season. Ended up getting traded with Marcin Gortat (wtf Suns management) for Andrew Bynum. And then when I got traded to Miami, Marcin and I both got traded for Bosh and Norris Cole. Ergo, this will hopefully be the 3rd ring I win with Gorat. I consider him family.

The thing with 2K is that it's so bipolar: 1 day you'll have great, fair, competitive games with minimal CPU cheating. Then the next, it's like the CPU says "F*ck your fun" and just goes into super win-at-all-costs mode and you want to break your controller.

I just had a great game against the Kings btw. It started off really rough. I had 3 turnovers in the 1st quarter, kept getting blocked left and right and the Kings kept nailing 3's. Tyreke Evans was like prime Peja out there. They shot a shitload of 3's though. They took almost 50. Marcus Thornton himself went 3-19 from 3 point range. I finished with 42//13 and 5 steals. I also got to the line 20 times

There are many bugs in this game, and 2K isn't going to bother fixing any of them because they're busy working on a new version of 2K11 to sell you for $60.

As far as I know, there is no fix. Many bugs come from winning the title in your first season. My advice would be to reload a previous save and lose in the Finals.

Oh, and turn off Autosave.

Finally got my signature shoe

I named it Jordan Splash MP. As a 3pt specialist, I used Splash cuz of Smoove's expression when he hits 3s, it also adss +4 in 3pt. MP for initials, I didn't put my real last name(commentators can't say it), just my first names.

I had 3 20 assists games in around 5 or 6 games. Also a couple of 40 pt games in that stretch. I can finally dunk too! Posterized Rondo on my first NBA dunk then posterized Udrih and Gooden next game.

I'm currently 3rd in MVP voting(teammate Dirk is 4th lol), 1st in ROY but I can't see my name in All-star votes. My goal is to finish the season as the MVP, ROY, All-star, champ, and FMVP before 2K13 comes out.
