Default What should the top 10 NBA 2K12 forward rankings be?

What do you say should be the top 10 NBA 2K12 forwards?

Don't worry about small forwards vs power forwards. Just rank the forwards, period, 1 through 10.

And, as always, feel free to add some insight on each player.

Great ratings. I may even have LeBron at 93. This is of course assuming you lower all of the guards as well. ie: Wade is 93, Kobe is 89, etc.

habing everyone high 90s gives no space to rank the legendary players better than them. In this game, LeBron, current Kobe, and current Wade are better than Kareem, Wilt, and Bird

Its because the "ratings" that are applied for todays game dont measure up with past great players.

Bird's speed, agility, strength, & vertical wouldn't be above 70.

While LeBron's speed, agility, & vertical are all above 90. While his strength is in the 80's.

That plays a factor in how well a guy plays from a video game setting and it lowers Bird's rating.

You'll accept it sooner or later...

I think they made the ratings right, from what I've seen. LeBron's the best in the league right now. To me it doesn't matter if he's a 100 or 93, as long as nobody has anything higher.

Dirk should be in the 90s, he might have a slower step now but he's more skillfull and versatile now. Free throws should be in the 90s/high 80s

That wasnt meant to criticize him, I know hes the strongest SF in the NBA.

Im just saying as far as the 2K ratings are concerned, the greater physical components of LeBron puts him above the likes of Bird, Dr. J, etc although he may not be better than them as far as his career is concerned.

In reality a prime LeBron would be clearly physical superior to a prime Larry Bird. He'd torch him in the ways Dominique did, but is bigger, stronger, faster & equipped with a much better all around game than Nique.

Todays players are just bigger, stronger, faster, and are better at different skills than players from the past. Not a knock on the old guys, but just a sign of the times.

You can raise his Mid-Range, 3PT Shooting, Shooting Off The Dribble, FT, Offensive Awareness, & Clutch but it still wont negate his lack of rebounding, blocks, low post defense, speed, agility, & strength for a PF.

I think Dirk was rated at 83 during the regular season due to this.

His rebounding rating drops him like 7 points, but its true that he isnt going to give you 13 RPG so its no reason to raise it.

Those ratings aren't relative to position. They're relative to the entire league. You have to think about it in that way to make ratings accurate. LeBron should be about an 80 at best. Why? Because 2001 Shaq is in the game, and no one comes close to him in strength (assuming he's 99). Players like Anthony Mason, Alonzo Mourning etc. would have strengths in the 90s. Then Dwight, Hakeem, Ewing, Blake, etc. can have strengths mid 80s. Then players like Kareem, LeBron, Artest etc. have their strength about 80.

The same way not all of the superstars should have 95+ offensive awareness. The only players deserving of that are Bird, Magic, and Jordan to a degree. Everyone else should be below that, so as to give space for there to actually be a difference between someone like Bird and someone like LeBron/Kobe in offensive awareness.

They have too many stars all packed together in the high 90s for certain attributes and that minimizes the actual differences between those players.

Another example. Ben Wallace should be about 98 defensive awareness. But that rating is made much less valuable if you put LeBron, Kobe, etc. at 90 defensive awareness as well. Need to have bigger gaps.
