Why have young people in Japan stopped having sex?

My cousin was telling me he saw some documentary that talked about this issue. The video interviews these asian guys that say they never have to leave their houses because they watch porn, eat, and play video games all day. It makes sense. If you're jacking it all day and having fun where is the motivation to seek out a female? I think porn is really changing the way men interact with women. No woman can compete against porn. I rarely see a female that I feel compelled to talk to because most are no where near as hot as the women I see in porn. It's actually really sad and one of the reasons I'm trying to stop watching porn all together.

You make a lot of good points. I was very comfortable for many years not seeking relations with girls because I was so comfortable just hanging out with my friends playing video games and basketball, and then just jerking it to porn when I was horny. It worked for me, and still does... It's totally stress free and my desires are filled to the extent where I am satisfied. It's one of those things that makes you unmotivated because your totally cool with the way things are. Something really great has to come along for you to want to change... the grasses have to be obviously greener.

That being said, to say no woman can compete against porn... It's unfortunate you feel that way. If you meet a woman you really connect with, I am sure that view will change.

I dunno if it's just me but vast majority of the girls in porn are pretty average/below average by real life standards to me. Look pretty beat up, terrible boob jobs, insane amounts of makeup, other plastic sugeries. Kinda the appeal of porn, it isn't Natalie Portman but generally some attainable girl. Honestly even the best girls in porn seem attainable. I think that's why certain girls dominate so much, because overall they blow away the competition.

Some have really nice bodies but face wise? Ehhh. That's not even elbows too pointy type stuff either, I'd say the vast majority of the girls an average guy dates could walk in and get a job in the adult industry if they wanted too.

We are stereotyping across everyone which of course we should not do, but in my experience those men in business spend so much time at work, hanging with their co-workers, etc. that they just neglect their home life and the wives a lot. It becomes almost a situation where you are almost in a partnership at home rather than a marriage. Japanese life/work balance is shit because of the face time and the fact it's almost insisted you go out with your co-workers after work.

I know some real nice guys (one of my friends was making a nice living as a rock singer/guitarist but gave it up to do construction so he saw his wife and son more), etc. But some of my wife's closest friends in Japan have husbands who are literally never home. Their kids are afraid of them because they never see them. One of the husbands had to pick up the kid at school (she was sick) and the doctor asked what was different about her today and he didn't know because he doesn't see her during the day. It's a shitty dynamic for intimacy.

Since the husbands are out a lot they sexualize other people (not their wife), hostesses, co-workers, etc. Anyone but who they have access too.

Ok so they don't like relationships and don't make good husbands and wives.

But what about 16-24 year olds not being interested in casual meaningless sex?

Yes they study a lot but why don't they want to f*ck eachother? That is a natural urge? Is Japan the most repressed country in the entire world? I think even in Saudi Arabia or Kuwait more people that age would admit that they want and enjoy sex.

Oh I've met a few in my life. Even the last year I met a girl that definitely got had me caught up. I'm talking about this girl really got me hooked by just being around her. I meant that an average chick can't compete. I think what really attracts me to some women is a hot personality. I can be attracted to an average chick that has a little attitude over a boring model type.

in my experience model types usually have awesome personalities and arent boring because they've seen and done loads of badass shit.

Normal chicks usually try too hard to overcompensate for their looks to compete with the hot chicks imo.

What attracts me the most is realness and not being an insecure try-hard.

16-24 yr olds are still having sex. I think the study is misreading what people mean. You can definitely find changing mores about marriage and kids, but teens to young adults there are more open about these things that before, that's jsut not true.

Basically if you told me people in japan (younger) are less interested in marriage and becoming parents i'd believe that. The way their society is with work, etc. is not ideal for having a family. If you tell me horny teenagers and early 20's are not having sex, that's delusional.

Considering the fact that overpopulation is the biggest problem we're facing in the world today, this is not that big of a problem.

Their median and avg age of the poulation is increasing year after year
Their birthrates are some of the Worlds lowest and their happiness levels arent exactly brimming.

Japan is having a problem with replacing workers,and older retirement age people leaving workforce and finding support bc there are less and less younger people every year.

While at the same time,Japan is one of the most densely populated countries in the world.

In China it dont get any easier,due to their enormous population but only occupying one half of Chinas land and one-drop rule,
There are 8 males for every one female,Thats a horrible statistic right there.

And if you look at the culture of Japan,its not very sexualized as much as we think.And due to Japan getting more and more advanced along with the dense population and peoples iqs increasing and becoming more about careers and money,its seen as less and less.
when you have people in your country marrying video game sysytems,pillows with anime figures on them and spending almost all their time fixated on technology,itll create a problem.
