This. They want the crowd on top of the action. That's going to be one noisy arena.

The area they had to build the arena in is not that big and they wanted nice amneities, etc. I'm thinking that corresponded with less seats. It's not that big an arena.

Again no hate, i've been told it's really really nice inside.

To have a noisy arena it has to be filled with passionate fans. It will only get noisy when the Knicks play "road" games at Barclays Center.

    Doubt it.

The Knicks have been one of the most disappointing sports franchises in all of sports over the past decade...

..in terms of both success and in terms of them being nice guys and being a hard working team that is easy to root for (Isiah allegations, Steph Marbury allegations, giving up Jeremy Lin, etc).

Any smart Knick fan is going to give becoming a Brooklyn fan a serious consideration.

And the Nets have been disappointing forever. 0 championships,2 Eastern Conference titles and they missed the playoffs more time than they made it.

Knicks might have sucked for the past decade but they have much more success over the history than the Nets do. 2 championships,8 Eastern Conference titles. Also during the past few seasons the Knicks have been the better team and I expect them to be better over the coming years.

Saying it will only be noisy when Knicks play there is pretty ignorant.

They aren't in Jersey anymore, Season tickets are already selling/sold like hot cakes.

The thought of it being dead in there is delusional.

Heard a lot of good things about that place.

And they will have NOBODY there next year. Shame.

I like it from this view. Arena inside looks pretty small, but nice. Should be loud in there.

Don't understand all the backlash on the new arena. To me, it looks nice and crisp.

I think it looks good. It'd be good if they had a blue in their team colors so they could liven it up and it wouldn't be ALL black.

But it's not bad. Black is a nice and neutral color.
