Saying that TWOWS is one of Scorsese's best isn't a hyperbole
1. Taxi Driver
2. Raging Bull
3. Goodfellas
4. The King of Comedy
5. Mean Streets
6. The Wolf of Wall Street
7. Hugo
8. The Departed
9. Casino
10. Gangs of New York/The Age of Innocence
Off the top of my head, that's how I'd rank his top 10. Might be missing something big tho

Yep. Being in the top 40% of Scorsese's filmography is pretty much equal to being top 10 % ever

Re: The Wolf of Wallstreet
not seen it yet, but i think the over 500 fukks will annoy me, i think overusing cursing takes the power and fun out of the words....
...what i mean is: if curse words become mainstream and overused, what words will you then use when you are really upset and trying to get a point across ?
am i making any sense ?

I don't think it will bother you at all in the movie. One, it's a long movie, so they have more time to curse. Second and more importantly, it feels true to the characters. The movie even comments on it, the main character was surprised at how much Wall Streeters curse. The characters in the movie are pretty vile. The characters in movie are not legit brokers, but scammers and con men who basically lied all day long and ripped people off. Scorsese said it's a movie about contempt.
