Exactly what I was going to say, though I think Billups can be in there, he's never had a chance before.

Spurs just signed him. I know he has no chance to make it, but I'd be damn willing to bet that he'd win it if he ever had the chance to compete in the 3-point shootout.

All of them have been in the 3pt shootout plenty of times.

The above mentioned Richardson and Kevin Martin are better suggestions, established veterans who've never competed.

Wouldn't surprise me, at all. Would be pretty sweet if the Spurs signed him specifically for the 3 point shootout, which obviously didn't happen, but it woulda been cool.

Kevin martin SHOULD be in this, but as usual he's ignored.

Why the hell not? They let MJ "try" it 1 year, and he was shooting below 30% from deep.

This isn't the type of contest Kobe could win. He's a volume shooter. What I don't understand is why Shawne Williams was left out. He's the 3PT% leader.

Has Nash ever participated in this contest??? He would probably win since he such a good shooter. Most people don't understand that he maintains that 50/40 % mark shooting off dribble. Not a spot up shooter like Ray allen.

I'm pretty sure Kobe was invited and he said no. He was supposed to be in it last year or the year before (or both) but he backed out at the last minute. He's afraid to get exposed.
