Default Dwight HOWARD injury - A worrying sign for the lakers?

Should howard's injury be a worrying sign for the lakers?
He was out since April, it will near a 6 month injury.

It's a back injury. Those type of injuries easily become chronic and often players are never the same. If I were Howard, I would not rush it. Even if you miss half of the season.

Nope.. Even w/o Howard, our team is capable of winning 55+ but we still need him healthy in the playoff tho.. With out Howard our chance of winning the titles is pretty low.. With healthy Howard, it will guarantee 6th rings for our Great Lord Mamba that will make him the GOAT..

You do realize they had a doctor check him prior to the trade right?

Yeah, do people not realize that the Lakers are basically investing 20 million dollars and the future of their franchise in him? The Buss family and Mitch arn't dumb...I'm sure that they did everything possible to make sure when he comes back he'll still be Dwight.

let's hope he is "dwight" of old for comeptition sake...that surgery is pretty serious and can take away range of motion. all depends on his recovery i guess...i'm thinking his 12ft dunking capabilities are out the window now

I would be VERY surprised if he doesn't start the first game of the regular season...

Nothing to worry about. He will be 110% healthy by opening day. He's Superman.

I would be worried. I'd be worried about the injury status of the whole team throughout the year. Oldddddd

    He'll be cleared probably some time in the next 2 - 3 weeks..which means he'll be 100%

I once injured my back. I was in bed unable to move at all for like 3 days, then walked on crutches. Iced it a lots. Completely healed, and my eye white became whiter. Of course Howard's was worse. My point is that rest is amazing. So much fear as I laid there.
