Default Do you guys think Eric Gordon will still be a Star?

Dude was seriously going to be a star SG in the league, but he's been riddled with injuries.

Riddled with injuries AND a bad attitude. I'm going to side with no.

Dunno to be honest, if he stays with New orleans I don't think so. If he went somewhere like San Antonio I think he'd come good again. But yeah his attitude and injuries are an issue, is it also possible he just looked really good on a bad team where he could do what he wanted? What were his shooting %s like in L.A, I know he averaged over 20pts one year but was he efficient?

Had he went to the Suns, it should have benefited him. But Hornets/Pelicans decided to match. I think he doesn't want to play for NO

Career 44% from the field. Guy was a good second option.

    He could have been.

He was great at creating his own shot and getting to the line. That's a must for any SG in the NBA if they want to be among the best. Gordon did it really well. He had a decent enough outside shot too. It all depends on his health and how he moves once he starts logging big minutes game after game again.

Still no idea why NO matched, he clearly didn't want to be there..
And for everyone who says he was a RFA and all that bullshit, how is it working out for them now? Might want to look into trading him

Any teams that will take him with that massive contract?

Marginally better, if at all, than Kevin Martin.

Gordon makes 15 million a year.
Martin makes 6.5 million a year.

I'll let you all determine which player makes the most sense to have on a team.

    Star? No.

I'm a well-documented Gordon homer, but I can be objective in the sense that at this point it would be hard to argue yes.

He has looked healthy on the court this season (his quickness and explosion seem to have returned), but he has still yet to put together the full package that he showed flashes of with the Clippers.

I still believe there's a chance he could return to form and develop into the player people envisioned of him when he was in LA, but it's easy to understand why many don't share the same opinion.

I don't think anyone would argue that Gordon has been producing to the level relative to his pay.

However, now that he is finally healthy and back on the court playing, I think we should give it to the end of this season to determine whether he can ever warrant that kind of deal.
