Wade without even having to think twice. Who was his 2nd option? A rookie Beasley?

08-09 was the only year where Lebron has had a real challenger for his mvp crown. If you a put another decent player on this team to get them another 5-8 more wins, D-wade is likely winning MVP. Lebron was in godmode this year, but D-Wade was playing just as well.

KD is yet to reach the level that wade was playing at in 09. In saying that, KD has time on his side

09 Wade. Much better all around player and also was proven to be capable of running a team...Westbrook runs the show a lot for OKC.

Durant is the better scorer due to his shooting ability from everywhere, length and ability without the ball, but not that much due to Wade's ability off the dribble, explosiveness at the rim and because his mid-range game was great all season. Lets not forget Wade averaged 34/5/8 on 51/37/81 shooting after the all-star break that year.

As overall players, the advantage clearly shifts in Wade's favor. Durant has rebounding, but Wade was a vastly superior passer and playmaker despite Durant's improvements and definitely the better defender. Those gaps outweigh any advantage Durant has as a scorer.
