you can have zero semitic blood and be considered jewish simply because a distant ancestor once converted. you can have strong and direct lineage to the 12 tribes, born, raised and lived in the area your whole life, but the orthodox won't consider you jewish if your mother wasn't considered one.

if you don't understand what PEZ and the like are, then you don't understand the series of propaganda campaigns that took place against jews in modern times.


my take is-- people who are under the gun for centuries, even millennia, tend to either die out or go in to overdrive. i think this is what commonly happens to those who found solidarity in their religion / ethnicity.

jews are not just high-achievers in finance. as group they're very high achievers in science, the arts... you name it. sure, plenty of pushy assholes among the lot, but on the whole, high achievers IMO. and not because of some stupid-ass conspiracy cooked up by paranoid retards looking for cheap reasons to exercise their tribal genes.
