One of those anomaly lineups... There should be some perameters, though, because Bradley was not the normal starter on that team and he only started just 39 games (due to injuries, I believe). Najera was their normal starter with the other four you listed.

I suppose you could find a roster with five players around 7-0+ and use that as an example, too.

In any case, I apologize to those that I may have offended by posting about Hakeem's and Sampson's actual heights.
    Haha.

    I probably overreacted. Sorry.

I just thought it was a pretty interesting thread idea and I didn't want to see it devolve into a spat about listed heights vs. actual heights (which has been widely discussed on this board).

    No hard feelings.

Eaton TOWERED over Sampson. And there are those that claim that Hakeem was only 6-8. He was certainly nowhere near 7-0.

    hakeem was 6ft 10 ish.

    i think sampson was 7ft 1- 7ft 2 range. he certainly was nowhere near 7ft 4.

Shaq was over 7'1 barefoot I believe. Hard to judge how big anyone is next to him.

    Me too.

I enjoy the discussions on this forum, or else I wouldn't waste my time here. And I appreciate the moderators here, as well, even if I don't always agree with them (nor am I always right either.) Let's face it...this is a SPORTS forum here. This is not a matter of life-and-death.

    Once again, I apologize. I too over-reacted.

I think I read where he was just slightly under 7-1 (rounded up to 7-1..it was very close.)

Most have Hakeem at 6-10 (which is what I initially claimed, although, once again, there were articles claiming he was as small as 6-8.) And Eaton was a almost 7-4, and he claimed that Sampson was about 7-2. I could probably dig some other info up, too (I think he was 7-1 in high school), but it is not a big deal.

    I'm sorry I mentioned it.

    Carry on...

An interesting one that didn't immediately come to mind...

    1996 Pacers
    Mark Jackson 6'1"
    Reggie Miller 6'7"
    Derrick McKey 6'9"
    Dale Davis 6'11"
    Rik Smits 7'4"

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/IND/1996.html

That would put them at 404"... Same as the (listed) '86 Rockets and 1" under the '95 Bullets. Seems like 40'5" is still the number to beat.

I feel like there should be some kind of stipulation... Like, each guy had to start over half of the season's games to be considered a "starter." Bradley only started around 35 games that year.

I was thinking about maybe one of the Sixers teams with Manute Bol, but then I realized that Barkley being so relatively short for a PF would likely cancel out any major advantage that Bol gave them.

    How about this one...

    2005 Rockets
    Rafer Alston - 6'2"
    Chuck Hayes - 6'6"
    Tracy McGrady - 6'8"
    Shane Battier - 6'8"
    Yao Ming - 7'6"

    LOL!

You are right. I've been calculating these incorrectly in my haste to get them done quickly. Basically, you need to add 1' to every team per 6'0" or over player and 1'2" to every team per player 7'0 or over.

In other words, an entire recalculation is in order.

    It's late.

Hakeem in his own book said he was 6"10 without shoes.

LeBron was a hair under 6"8 without shoes -
