Dude has already missed 11 games this season, you should have to be on the court to win the MVP.

If anyone other LeBron or Durant gets it we're looking at easily one of the worst choices in history. Seriously, anyone who watches the games can see they're on historic levels.

I agree, despite being a big Melo fan. But others have been at historic levels and not gotten it. Kareem in '73, Jordan/Hakeem in '93, Shaq in '01, Kobe in '06. In fact, I'd say other than possibly Kobe, and without being able to comment on '73 Kareem other than what I've read, the other 3 were better players at those times than either Lebron or Durant. Well, '06 Kobe was better than Durant, and I'd assume '73 Kareem was as well.

I'd pick Durant this year for MVP so far, but I still have Lebron as the best player.

Easily LeBron. He's much better than Durant and is having a season for the ages.

Lebron has the lead now, but they might still give it to Durant due to voter exhaustion. Westbrook and Durant are back to 1A/1B mode now while Lebron is still the one carrying most of the load for Miami. If he keeps getting wins and near 30 point triple doubles he may get it again.

    It's a tie between Wade/Westbrook.

Such valiant superstars, willing to sacrifice their own personal statistics in order to let the respective robin on each of their teams (LeBron, Durant) shine.

I think Durant even though LeBron is clearly the best player in the league because they will give it to the player with the best record, and people may get sick of giving it to LeBron.

It's probably gonna come down to the last 2 weeks of the season, unless either player gets injured. Never know though, players like Melo and Kobe could go off in the second half of the season.

    1. Lebron
    2. Durant
    3-5. Parker/Carmelo/CP3

Lebron just has to do a bit more than Durant on both ends in order for his team to win, often barely even win, but Durant is right there and has more wins, so i wont complain at all if he wins it..... its very safe to say its between those two right now...

Also, dont sleep on Tony Parker... Duncan is out right now, he can continue to raise his MVP stock...

Parker is shooting 53% from the field at the PG position.
