Default Batman: Arkham Knight from Rocksteady

    Arkham Knight

Late 2014 release according to that article. PC, PS4 and Xbone.

Initially I got a "but we just got Arkham Origins!" feel but then remembered that this is Rocksteady this time around and Arkham City was back in late 2011. Arkham City is one of my fave games ever (as listed in that other thread) so I'm ready for this.

I haven't played it either. It was made by a different developer and I don't like prequels, so it never really caught my interest.

Good overall but glitchy and less polished than City. Great storytelling and set pieces and same old Batman combat system. It was a bit lifeless though. A larger area of the city just meant more empty streets. Some clunky design too. You could be grappling through the city then all of a sudden you come upon a building with no grapple points (for some reason) and you end up having to walk around it on foot.

Just watched the trailer and I most likely get this one since I skipped out on the other 2.

Played some of the first one and I liked it.

They got a new Wolfenstein coming out in May http://youtu.be/JA1QB-h1c4I

I still haven't played Arkham City. Went through the prologue and then I quit because my central air was bugged out and running the heater during the middle of summer (where it's 100+ where I live). Haven't played it or the other games since.

What's a good entry point for the series? The last game?

[QUOTE]Set one year after Arkham City, Arkham Knight takes place in a more densely populated part of Gotham City, which is approximately five times the size of Arkham City. New generation hardware allows Rocksteady to bring more to its world, not the least of which is riots of 50 or more on-screen characters.

In Arkham city, were you able to hang hang on to the edge? Like for example, you're hanging onto the edge of the roof of the building or whatever, and there's an enemy upcoming nearby, so then he'd use one of his bat tool or grab him and that would be considered as stealth take down. Were you able to do that in Arkham city? Because in Origins, you couldn't & I stopped playing after it frustrated me.

Sorry, can't really think that much, head is all over the place. Rush post. lol

Yes you could. I used the glide kick more often but there were certainly times when I remember doing a ledge take-down. I can't believe a stealth game in this day and age wouldn't have it. I've seen it in every stealth game since the 3rd Splinter Cell game.
