Obama just got to take credit. Had he been in Bush's shoes, we'd still be looking.

What do you think a Democratic President would have done after 9/11??? Or have done differently?

Remember, that everyone approved the Iraq War before you answer that question.

Just to play devil's advocate, wouldn't that point favor that Democrats aren't weak on foreign policy?

I don't really feel like getting into my opinion on your statement either way, but this really doesn't make any sense given what you're trying to prove.

Well I guess you can't say that he was weak.

Dems were weak on Al-Qaeda throughout the entire 1990's. Scud missiles and sanctions proved futile against a growing enemy that everyone knew was coming.

The point I'm trying to make is that it wouldn't have mattered who was in office in 2001. There was no way this country was going to accept anything less than war. Bush is hated because it was a poorly planned war and thousands died unnecessarily.

And being tough on foreign policy doesn't necessarily mean action. It also involves language. Language that Obama is reluctant to use it seems.

Gone after Al Qaeda and its leader, Osama Bin Laden.

By everyone, do you mean only Republicans?

    The Iraq Resolution (2002)

126 (61%) of 208 Democratic Representatives voted against the resolution.
6 (<3%) of 223 Republican Representatives voted against the resolution

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraq_Resolution

So to answer your questions, the parties responsible for 911 would've been brought to justice (which is what Obama did) and we wouldn't have been dragged into a pointless, expensive war under false pretenses.

Now go get yourself some freedom fries.

Which war are you talking about, exactly?

Give me some examples of this language Obama is 'reluctant to use'. I'm hoping freedom fries isn't one

Only republicans? You post data that contradicts your very own post.

What does that video prove?? Billy Boy's nothing but a hillbilly liar and he can tell the masses all he wants that he did everything he could, but we all know that administration was weak. More terrorist attacks against Americans happened under his watch than Bush. You Liberals can never see the forest from the trees.

Don't be stupid. Clinton was a good Domestic affairs president, but he let his successors deal with radical Islam and the shit storm that would follow.

Take a look at that post again, pay particular attention to when the word 'everyone' first appears. Take your time.

That the 'weak lib' wanted to do more against the growing threat of Bin Laden and Al Qaeda but he couldn't get the clearances from the proper agencies and faced a lot of opposition from the tough-talking cons.

You claim more terrorist attacks happened under Clinton's watch, but the BIGGEST attack IN America happened under Bush's nose. How did he react when this appeared on his desk on August 6, 2001?

Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.

Nevertheless, FBI information since that time indicates patterns of suspicious activity in this country consistent with preparations for hijackings or other types of attacks, including recent surveillance of federal buildings in New York.

The FBI is conducting approximately 70 full-field investigations throughout the U.S. that it considers bin Laden-related. CIA and the FBI are investigating a call to our embassy in the UAE in May saying that a group or bin Laden supporters was in the U.S. planning attacks with explosives.

How did the tough-talking foreign policy expert con Bush react to this information?

Condi Rice had some thoughts on this

Yet it took a weak, soft-talking lib to get THIS done

    Stop it already.

Doesn't matter. Your post is still wrong. There were Republicans that voted against it so your post is contradictory even taken in context as a response. Take your time. Read it slowly.
