Default Was this the worst drafting franchise ever?

Were the Vancouver Grizzlies the all time draft Losers?

1995 their first draft they take Big Country Bryant Reeves over Damon Stoudamire and Michael Finley.

1996 they draft Sharif Abdur Rahim, missing out on Kobe, Ray Allen, Stephan Marbury, and Steve Nash (great draft class also including Iverson at #1).

1997 they choose Antonio Daniels before Tracy McGrady.

1998 they take Mike Bibby #2 over Dirk Nowitzky, Vince Carter, Paul Pierce.

1999 traded pick Steve Francis to Houston, missed out on Ginobili, Baron Davis, Odom, Rip Hamilton, Shawn Marion, Ron Artest.

2000 picked Stromile Swift, missed Jamal Crawford and Michael Redd. Terrible choices that year, weak class.

2001 Shane Battier over Tony Parker, Joe Johnson and Zach Randolph.

    2002 moved to Memphis.

Obviously you could never get them all right but If they had picked the correct choices they could have had Kobe, Dirk, Tony Parker,Tracy,McGrady, Ginobili and Zach Randolph. You could take Nash instead, the possibilities were endless. Salaries would become a problem but getting them on Rookie contracts they could keep them together for a while. Potentially all time GOAT team instead they were an all time worst.

More like it was a shitty franchise overall, unable to develop its young players due to its losing culture.

It's gotta be the Clippers. Couldn't get it right until Griffin.

#1 Wasn't Abdur Rahim pretty good?

#2 Why would they take the people listed? Other than 1998, you are basically saying they should reach every single year.

#3 The way a player turn out doesn't justify drafting them too high. i.e the way Ben Wallace turn out, he could be the #1 pick in many years. Yet drafting him in the top 10 would be terrible drafting.

Every franchise would be loaded if you could go back and re-draft.

Shareef Abdur Rahim, Mike Bibby were very good players.
Shane Battier has been one of the better role players in the league for more than a decade.
2000 was the worst draft ever.

Not saying that they could've had ended up with more, but they didn't draft pure busts either.

Naw. At least the Clippers made the play-offs at least once every decade. (twice in the 90s)

Al Thornton, Korolev, Ely, olowokandi, Benjamin, Stanley Roberts, the list continues.Clippers also had bad luck with injuries(Manning and Livingston), draft positions(2003) and traded pick outcomes(Kyrie Irving)

If you go back the last 35 years, you could make the same case with just about every team.
