[QUOTE=Jasi]What I love about Andre Miller is that he's the living evidence that this game is still not totally at the mercy of athletic monsters

That's why a lot has to be taken into consideration looking at greatness. Dude has been a stalwart at this position and did it far better than most. His IQ is off the charts, passing ability second to none, game pace craftiness and fundamentals amongst the best. Very rarely gets outplayed well above average and probably a lock 3rd tier caliber at worst....

The comparison to Richard Pryor was for looks characteristics/mannerism/speech(somewhat)

If you're talking about making the most of what you have Miller is definitely a Swiss army knife as much as it pains me to admit. He's gotten by with IQ and real PG skills. What makes him most unique that nobody talks about in this thread much is his post game. He can post pretty much any guard in the NBA up, even bigger ones.

He's not a top 15 PG all time. That's ridiculous.

He has all the tools to be a much-hated future coach.

I can give you 11 names that are better, after that it's really a toss up between a lot of people.

off the top of my head, in no order

    magic
    oscar
    stockton
    kidd
    nash
    isiah
    clyde
    payton
    cousy
    chris paul
    tony parker
    kevin johnson

are all better, probably i'm forgetting someone else

and there's a second tier with guys such as dj, strickland, price, wilkens, billups, cassell, hardaway (both), d-will
etc where Dre may belong, though it's not that likely. Still a top 30 in my book.

You forgot Archibald, but seriously that's only 13 guys. I know I'm overrated him a bit but he's definitely top 20 to me.

These are the guys that he should be ranked with. He's never been an all-star. Just a hell of a player that any team(other than that Clippers team) would be lucky to have.
