BB, I miss you man. I heard he could fly in High School but lost his wings in the locker room and never saw them again. Happens.

Seriously...look at young Sprewell:

As a pure athlete he's comparable to Jordan. The speed, power, explosiveness, leaping ability is all there. It's the skill thats the difference.

The biggest difference between Jordan and most other athletes just on the athletic side are his freakish hands. He could do basically anything with one hand he could with two. He was definitely more athletic than sprewell though.

Re: Michael Jordan ran a 4.3 40 yard dash, and had a 48" vertical!
Please, PLEASE show me a clip of Drexler going from 0 to 60 in the blink of an eye like MJ does at 1:08-1:10 here, or getting from 6 feet inside halfcourt to a layup as fast as at 2:14-2:16 here:
http://www.youtube.com/user/joleroke#p/u/9/YT9P_OY5bpc
Let's not even talk about going from 36-38 feet out to a dunk in less than 2 seconds like at the 15-17 second mark here (and while executing a couple of dribble moves and changing directions twice, too):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMYzaW46a68
Or the opening play of this video, where he explodes so quickly that the defender doesn't even have time to react and "open up" towards the baseline, and MJ ends up behind him with the defender's ass on his back:

You've presumably seen hundreds of Jordan's games, scoured through all his highlight films (probably marked down which videos show quickness, leaping ability etc) and that's the best you come up with? I had to look at one game and Drexler's speed in that is more impressive than every play you showed except the Pistons one (though that play resembles 1:02 in my first video and 3:10 in the second video).
BTW, you are comparing Jordan's "blow by" speed against some East European schmuck who plays ball part time and the Hornets PF or C

Yeah.... his dunks from the ft line were eerily similar.

MJ vs. Clyde athleticism wise is pretty close, but it's tough to say Clyde's better when his only definite edge is 1 footed leaping. He may have a case for being more explosive in the open court, but MJ has the edge in pretty much everything else. Minor edges, sure, but an edge nonetheless. They were both freaks though, no denying that. Like MJ Clyde was able to retain his athleticism well into his 30's.

Lebron James is also quite the athlete. He is strong yet very agile. He had a promising career in football but chose basketball where he would have been more successful.

I just can't forgive Drexler for his 88 dunk contest performance. He was on some Mr. Me Too type stuff, doing the same dunks that Jordan just did, but with less style and flair.
He got low scores because of it too.

Notice Jordan's head over rim height even on "the shot".
Sorry you exposed yourself as a failure as a basketball fan. The "court level" views of the old school game weren't as prevalent as they are now. Jordan getting his head at rim height and higher would be most prominent in the 80's.
Thanks for playing!

OP was a nutjob. I still remember he started his own youtube channel and would wear a suit in his videos.
He was like 3ball before 3ball.

4 3 40 is elite speed. Jordan wasn't running that.
I'd buy 4.5 4.6 which is still fast s hell.
