I've been there as well. If you stick to the coast it isn't bad. Inland areas are a center for drug and gun exports to the US.
Per capita, more people are murdered there than anywhere else in the World. I realize it isn't in America, just thought people would like to know where the murder capital of the World is.
People act like Compton is hard.... it's got nothing on South Central St. Lucia.

I agree with some of the stuff Michael Moore and Al Franken say the problem is they don't give a **** about the truth. They only care about their ideology and that irritates me and I think its dangerous. Seeing that Sarah Palin actually had a chance to be the vice president of the country goes to show that as long as you cater to a bull **** ideology you can climb the political ladder and it scares me. On the flip side and I really don't want this to turn into a political thread but I watched Obama stand up there and spit out the same bull**** and platitudes that Bush did. the verdict is in that people didn't like that quality in Bush yet they vote for it again. I'm not gonna sit and compare the 2 cause I truly wanna give that man a chance he's only been in a few months. He is my president

Those are bad. Camden and Jersey City, NJ are also pretty bad, though I heard they used to be worse. My uncle works in Jersey City and he said one side of the mall he works by is nice, but no one from his company dares to exit the other side.

Re: Where's the scariest hood in America?
Here is a recent article:
http://www.caribdaily.com/article/12...-murder-rates/
40 murders in 2008. In a country with a population similar to that of Dayton, Ohio (~150k).
They are even going to start hanging people in public as a deterrent.
