Default Lebron JAMES = most overrated leaper in the history of the NBA.

Everytime they show a lebron james dunk it is from a low angle where he is FAR away from the basket making his head seem to reach rim level..when in fact, it is not even close.

Lebron James has the most overrated hops in the history of the NBA.
This also explains why his dunks SUCK...because he has poor body control in the air and because he lacks in hops.

Dwight Howard is only 2 inches taller than Lebron James but has WAY MORE jumping ability. As does a player like joe Alexander, Josh Smith, Gerald Green and Travis Outlaw; guys around lebron's height who can outjump him noticeably.

Please stop overrating Lebron's jumping ability and athleticism.

He came into the league as an EXCEPTIONAL athlete but not on the the level of the elite guys...look at his draft profiles. He was known for his "Magic Johnson" like passing ability etc.

I guess somewhere along the line the NBA and Nike saw that he was definately no magic johnson so they changed the campaign and started to market him as a jumping beast. Which he is not.

AS you can SEE; the SAME DUNK from two angles..BOTH at the peak (same moment) of the dunk. On the frontpage of NBA.com is the dunk at the top where his head "SEEMS" to be 3 incehs from the rim. But in reality, we look at the second pic which has a truer angle..his around is ACTUALLY close to 1 foot below the rim. ALL OF LEBRONS DUNKS where his head seems to be at teh "RIM" are based on complete skewed, bullshat pictures like the one i just posted.

Lebron is possibly the greatest one-footed leaper in NBA history. At worst he's top 3 in that regard (only guys in his universe are Jordan and Dr. J). However, he's not a very versatile leaper. He doesn't get elite air off of (and rarely even executes) two-footed leaps off a gather step or off a hop step.

I'm surprised he even gets as high as he does when he's got 180 pound PleezeBelieve attached to his p*nis.

lol Vince Carter is by far a better 1 foot leaper than LBJ.

He can do a tomahawk 1 hand FT line dunk..he dunked from the FT line IN A GAME vs. the knicks in the playoffs.

U say lebron is a good 1 foot leaper becasue a) he sucks at 2 footed jumping therefore u only see him jumping off 1 foot most of the time b) you are a homer.

    VC can do this:

Without even trying. From the FT line. Lebron james woulnd't even REACH the rim if he attempted that lol.

As far as one foot leaping goes...

No one can touch James White. Most amazing 1 foot leaper i've seen...windmill from FT line, Between the legs from FT line...

    Stro:

OH yeah i remember that nice dunk by LBJ. But he is not even close to the BEST "one-foot" leaper in the NBA. I mean guys like BRENT BARRY could dunk from the FT line.

dumb thread. Lebron has an exceptional leap, which can be seen from about 100 monster dunks he has done in his career and the 20 or so gigantic blocks he has done.

He can't touch the top of the backboard or above like Sampson, Chamberlain, Shawn Bradley, etc but I still do think he does have great leaping ability. Hell, he may have even been able to compete with great leapers like Mike Powell(dunked from like a foot behind the freethrow line and is the world record holder for the long jump) and Mike Connely(famous triple jumper) who could also dunk from behind the freehrow line.
