Gotta go with Marv on this one. His voice is one of the most recognizable. I think him, Ralph Lawler, and Stan Van Gundy have some of the most recognizable voices in the NBA.

I love his enthusiasm but Marv is still the better announcer.

Marv Albert is the original. The thing about him is that he fills you in on everything that's going on in the flow of the game yet also includes interesting info on players off the court as well. Also, he reacts to game-time situations quickly yet accurately.

Anyone else think Harlan and Doug Collins have some sort of gay relationship going on behind the scenes?

They're always putting their arm around the other or touching their hand when they show them talking and it is too strange to just assume that's natural behavior...

Both sound fake. Going off on any normal play as long as a superstar is involved.

    I rather listen to Heinsohn.

A matter of taste I guess? Both are good but I'm a Harlan fan myself.
Marv sounds too pre-recorded and predictable to me.
    Harlan is FIRE!

Marv is the standard, calls a great game, and has a great sense of humor.

    Thank you.

I never liked Kevin Harlan. He tries to out-Marv, Marv.

He's too phony and contrived for me. He tries to make every mundane dunk sound like a glacier hitting the titanic. They can't all be spectaculr plays man, damn.

That "No regard for human life" quote to me is the most whcak call I ever heard. It's not classic to me. There was one where he sounded like Vince McMahon and I'm thinking to myself "seriously?"

Harlan is a joke to me. I usually don't watch games he does. Give me Marv Albert all day. He calls a game the way it should be called, professionally and with context. He gets excited when it's the right time and doesn't scream after EVERY SINGLE DUNK in the game.

His call on Sundiata Gaines' game winner is classic and I know dude has a recording of it somewhere. Harlan can never match Marv.
