Obviously Yao would be on the center list but that's not happening now.
Tyson Chandler is not a top 3 Center.

People talk about how fortunate he is to play with the Big 3 but why is the fact that he creates so many east/good looks for them not talked about. Overall I think people are starting to realize that the argument of playing with 3 HOF'ers doesn't stand up to reality when you take into account what he did with Pierce/Allen/Perk(a non offensive player)/Baby and not much else for 3 months. People are realizing Boston isn't best suited to his game and despite all that and his huge flaw in his game he is still one of the better pg's in the game. At the same time it is crazy for people to put him over Billups, Parker and Deron but it is becoming more crazy for people to not have him in the top 10 or to say he would be a scrub in a different situation as many claimed over the season.

This is the truth. Good post.

Re: NBA player rankings by position
Rondo went from one of the most underrated players to the most overrated players.
Funny what can happen in a couple playoff series.
But I aint gonna lie he was amazing in that Chicago series

he had 4 (or 3) triple doubles in the playoffs, almost averaged one in fact. Also had 3 triple doubles in one playoff series.

What if Wade goes down with another injury?
What if Kevin Market contracts SARS?

theres really not all that valid of an argument for putting ANY pf besides maybe duncan over dirk at this point. I dont agree with it and i dont think hes a pf but i could kinda understand putting duncan above him. Aside from that it takes some serious mental gymnastics or a serious lack of a clue to rank kg, bosh, amare or gasol who have all gotten quite a few votes ahead of dirk at this point. Dirk just goes out and puts up his 25 and 9 years in and year out and generally makes at least the second round of the playoffs.

Kevin Martin has missed more games to injury than Wade in the last 2 years, so I'm not sure where you're going with this. Martin is a good scorer, but that's really his only strength, and Wade beats him out at even that, and Wade's superiority on defense makes it a laughable comparison.

wow dude... I'm a Lakers fan and all, but do you care to elaborate on how in the world you figure Fish to be the second best PG in the NBA?

To help me get started, post who you say the top 5-7 players are at each position in the NBA, for the 2009-10 season. Again, make it for next season.
The point of the excercise is to make predictions for next season, not to compare players based on past performance. If I think Kevin Martin will have a breakout season next year and Dirk Nowitzki's game will fall off a bit, that's my take. I may very well be wrong, but these kind of things are speculative and just for entertainment's sake anyway. So what is the big deal?

I thought I was the only one that saw that. When I put Wade over Kobe, people kept calling me out.
