in my whole life the tallest person i have met was 7'4 Ralph Sampson. i met him at a high school basketball game his son was playing at
i also met some 6 foot 11 guy today at the gym. he could throw it down like KG

When I was a freshmen in high school the frosh that made it on the varsity team was 6-10. By the time he graduated he was 7-2. That's it.

BJ Mullens. My high school bball team played his... this was when he was playing for a d-3 hs, and he absolutely killed us, considering that our tallest player was like 6-5

What school did you play for? I actually would have played with BJ but got kicked off the team because of bad grades and suspensions.

I didn't technically meet him, but I saw Javale McGee (legit 7"0) in Chinatown in DC last summer. He didn't really look, like, freakish or anything, and I only didn't approach him or something because I was afraid my eyes were deceiving me and it was just some other tall black guy, since I've never really seen anyone else up close who was over maybe 6"5.
