I wouldn't underestimate Roddick, most people thought he was gonna lose to Murray, but he and his coach came up with the perfect game plan against Murray and he executed it perfectly. Although Federer is a tougher opponent, Roddick has a chance and he can win, he's playing inspired and he went through the usual growing pains of the tournament. Fed breezing through this tournament might not be a good thing for him. Venus cruised to the finals only to lose to Serena, Fed had so many ups and downs in the US Open and French Open but ended up winning the thing.
All I'm saying is that maybe sometimes it's better for a player to go through tough matches and make him/her better prepared for the finals and Roddick went through that.
