I always liked Live better. I have to admit that the game is much easier than 2K, but strangely I enjoy Live better than 2K. Maybe it's the satisfaction of winning. ^_^

Glad that I am not the only playing backyard basketball. That game is fun as all get up.

I might switch up this year and buy 2K. I bought 2K9 last season, but did not play it...I did not even remove the plastic! I have been a Live fan since day one. Now I might switch things up a bit.

Are the demos for NBA 2k anything like the real game?

I just downloaded the 2K9 demo off the Playstation Store, and that demo is pure trash.

I wouldn't play it if someone game me the full game for free if it plays anything like the demo.

Okay i think that all the NBA 2k games have better control options then the Live games... But that is just what i think some people may think different but you cant beat the 2K game....

The layup animations just seem awkward. I havn't played live for years so im just now starting to come to terms with the fact the players don't look as stocky as they use to

live died in 05 and went down hill from there...2k took over and has been dominating since...i would like to see some improvements on 2k10 association and online game play to cancel out most of the cheesers

This is off-topic, but when is NBA 2K10 coming out? The only time I played one was at Wal-Mart. I'm going to jump in when the next one comes out.

Good idea. I know you are a huge B-ball fan and you will love the authenticity of the 2K Basketball games. Just be aware that they do require practice to play well. You don't just jump into them and start kicking ass.

If you enjoy simulation Basketball, NBA 2K series is the best... there is no arguement.

Now, not everyone prefers simulation sports games. Some people like games that are more exciting and fast paced than the real life sports... which is fine.

Personally, I like to feel like I'm playing a real NBA game. For that experience, NBA 2K series is the best, and it isn't close.



I will be renting NBA Live '10 this year though, because they stole NBA 2K's lead designer ($$)... and I think they are looking to make some big strides with this years installment.

U people are funny I way back to NBA Live on Sega Genesis even Live 97 to 99 for PC down to present time Best Live most would agree Live 04' for ps2 since then EA went for great graphics but bad fake gameplay 2k got to admit may not look as pretty but the gameplay takes out Live by far get a clue people!!! lol. EA's latest move makes it only more obvious by stealing $$$ 2k's Lead designer for the last 9 years how they need sumthing to get them out of their shadow look at the numbers since 2005 @2k was outsold Live!!!!

The truth is 2K has reached it's ceiling meanwhile Live will keep on improving, like someone mentioned they hired a former 2K designer so the gameplay will be a lot better since that is the main focus this year. Also, Live has way better graphics in my opinion and yet they make it look better each year. Now what's 2K going to do this year? Add LeBrons pre-game routine? Really? 2K has been the same since 2K7 and that should give you an idea about 2K10 vs LIVE 10
