Well there's obviously American Gangster as most people will suggest, but another "black gangster movie" that entertained me was State Property with Beanie Sigle, Freeway, the Young Gunz etc... I'm not saying its great but it was entertaining to watch.

Lots of confusion. This was directed at someone else, who was mad at me for a comment I directed at yet another person. The first person said American Gangster so I said I used the word modern in the OP. Then I asked another guy for a description of the title he posted.
