Default The Complete List of 2010 Free Agents

Here's an ongoing complete list of Free Agents in 2010, into five groups - Top Tier, Above Average, Below Average, Bottom Tier, and Team Options. Team options list include players of significance where teams have an option to keep player and might let him go. Doesn't include all guys on rookie scale contracts. For example, Brook Lopez is a team option but obviously he'll get picked up, so didn't include him.

I tried to list guys generally where they belong on the list depending on how good they are. If a guy is in the wrong tier, let me know. Put please don't criticize the precise location on the list. It's not EXACT, just an easy way to find who's available.

    (P) - Player Option
    (R) - Restricted Free Agent
Italics = Unlikely to Opt Out

Let's keep this up to date and let me know if any errors/changes etc. and we'll update as season goes along. If a player from a team you know has a team option that probably or might not be executed by team, let me know and I'll add it.

It's crazy. There's about 160 or so players on the list. If there are about 420 players in the league (14*30) than that means about 38% of players could be FA's next year.

Would be nice to see this stickied and updated as player sign extensions and teams\players pick up options leading up to July 1st 2010.

I would be willing to bet that around half of those players will resign or get extensions with their current teams. But even then there will still be lots of extremely good talent for teams to pick up.

You can put that list together, but it would have to be an estimate. Because of all the player options, team options, restricted FA's, qualifying offers, etc......

I've read that Nowitzki plans to opt out and sign for as little as he can without the NBAPA getting upset with him to try and allow the Mavs to sign another player.

Never was a fan of Nowitzki personally, but if this is true... this makes me like and respect him a lot. A very selfless thing to do for his team.
