Watching Spike now and learning more about Machida. Never seen a fight of his live until tonight.

I can't wait. Machida vs Shogun should be a great fight. I'll be rooting for Shogun but I think Machida will win.

A few weeks ago, I showed some Machida fights to a couple of friends. They're both black belts in Shotokan karate, like Machida, and they were like "OMG !!! That guy's unbelievable"

I'm not saying "Why would they think that ? Are they stupid or something ?". Of course Machida is a great fighter. He's actually one of my favorite MMA fighters.

But let's say I've never watched Kobe play. But I'm a big LeBron fan. If you make me watch a Laker game, I'll be like "Yeah that Kobe guy is really pretty damn good" or something like that. I wouldn't be like "OMG !!! ". I mean I've already seen LeBron. I know what a great player is. I thought that's how they would react. But no, they were like "OMG !!! " like they had never seen anyone like him. That tells you how great of a fighter he is.

Well yeah but karate is their thing. I expected them to say he's a great fighter or something. I didn't expect them to act like they had never seen anything like it.

This is what makes him so special. Nobody can train for him because there is no other similar fighter like him. He fights in an unorthodox fashion and waits for you to make the 1st mistake. The best counter fighter in the biz now

this is the fight i was looking for, Fedor vs Rogers, november 7th free on Strikeforce on CBS.


I always wonder if UFC is so big how come they can't get Fedor to fight their guys, when a less talented fighting circuit like Strikeforce can, wasnt strikeforce the same one that had Kimbo Slice vs the British Can as their main event?
