little league and what not, but never played in high school. Sure wish I had.

Just always liked the game, even though I barely played. Associate it with a lot of great memories, like school field trips, time with my family, etc.

    what about you?
Nah none of the schools that I could've played for were schools that I wanted to go to. Playing at Temple would probably be depressing, they're 7-29 currently.

Some of my greatest sports memories were from little league. That had a damn good atmosphere. I posted my little league pic in here on the post a pic of yourself thread, 1st place trophy baby!

My best memories are from little league. The one year my all-star team was beastly. We were like 25-1. My last game ever was an all-star game and I came in to pitch the last three innings and threw 3 perfect innings. I wondered for the longest time if I could have thrown a perfect game if I had started lol.

High school comp isn't the pinnacle of competition here in Australia. If you're decent you go play for a club. Though nearly all the club kids played school ball anyway and took it a little easier not to get injured. I think in year 10 I ended up playing on the year 11/12 team and averaged 25ppg or something ridiculous that year since I was really into trying to become better with every game and all that. The next two years though I just got lazy and let the other kids do the work. I think I dropped off to about 5ppg lol, and never really took a competitive interest in basketball again. At that point I quit club and state basketball.

After that I got into Aussie Rules Football. Though seeing as most of you don't know what it is, I won't get into it.

Don't be stupid. I see alot of WR's playing DE depending on the defense and what the coaches want. Some times the team will play 2 standing ends just to rush the edge and contain the outside. Where I come from the DE's main responsibility was the contain the edge and make sure nothing comes past them. Having a fast player like a WR will make sense and if he has decent size it could work and be effective..

    I'm a football guy.
Played football and played positions from LB,DE,DT,OT,OG,Flanker. I started every level I played at(Middle school, fresh, JV, Varsity) I'm going to be a senior next season and I'm going to be a 2 way starter. This past season on varsity I started around 3 games. I'm around 6'1-2 ish and 210ish pounds. I'm going to start at OT and DE next season. I Had around 30 something tackles my fresh yr, JV yr- 28ish tackles 4 sacks,

4 years of Varsity Tennis. Got to states my sophomore year which was pretty fun. Other than that, we were mostly mediocre.

I enjoy(ed) playing basketball but I was never good enough. In a school with like 3000 kids, its tough to make the team.

    Basketball
Three years on varsity. All-Conference as a junior, All-State as a senior. We won state my senior year in the second biggest classification in the state. I was a 6'4" SG/SF. Played a little 4 man as well since our half-cour motion was a 4 out 1 in. I'm a coach's son so I pretty much had "textbook" from the time I was in 1st or 2nd grade. I was always known as a 3 point specialist. Shot 92% from the FT line and 44% from three as a senior. I was a career 40/90 player in high school. I grew up playing PG and SG since I was usually pretty small. I was still 5'8" after my 9th grade year then hit a couple of growth spurts to hit 6'4" by the middle of my senior year. Played a year of JUCO ball, nothing real special. Eventually rached 6'5", measured with a 8'6" standing reach and a 6'10" wingspan which was nice since I wasn't blessed with muc lateral quickness, so I could makeup for some of it with my length. Never was a star in college. I was your typical 6'5" token white guy. Didn't have great hops, not overly quick. and even when I busted my ass on defense I was still prone to giving up layups. However, I could shoot it with the best of them (on that level anyway), due to shooting 500-1000 shots a day I had legitimate NBA range. Basketball was my favorite and best sport but I really got burned out on it after a year of playing college ball. Playing year round since about the 3rd grade had really taken a toll on me, and I knew I wasn't going to play professionally anywhere, so I decided to quit and just get my degree.

    Baseball
Started off in 9th grade at SS. After the growth spurt caused me to love some of my lateral quickness I moved over the 3B. Solid player on a team that made the state tourney all four years I was on the team, but we never made much noise. I was a so-so hitter who shined in the field. Don't know why but I LOVED being in the field. I had a knack for making relatively tough plays my whole life. On the flip side, though, average to below average would be the best way to describe me as a hitter.

That was it for me sports wise. Football was king at our high school but I never had the desire to play like every other kid who groew up here did from the time they were 5. I was in the extreme minority of kids who loved basketball 1st and 2nd, baseball 3rd, and football was a distant 4th.

GOAT Mathalete at my school. (jk you wish I pandered to that stereotype)

I ran cross country for 4 years, but I was never that good, I just did it to stay in shape. Personal best was 20 minutes for 3 miles I think. Also did track and field which I was better at, my best events were pole vault and triple jump but I really forgot what my personal bests were there.

My younger brother started running track two years ago as a 10th grader. It was just a spur of the moment decision on his part. He was on the basketball team, he and about 4 other guys had been having problems getting along with the coach, and all of them quit basketball to join the track team. I've turned into a bit of a T&F junkie the last several years. He's a 2:01 800 runner and a 4:38 miler. Not elite times but he's been good enough to qualify and place at state all three years.

i played varsity basketball. i was 5"10 about 160. i started my last three years. it was my favorite sport growing up and missed a little time my senior year due to a knee injury. that ended up not making my dicision to not play in college. oh well,

    Track

i was the 400 m region champ my sophomore year. also went to state in the triple jump and 800. this was sophomore year.

junior year... my 1600m relay team had the top time in the state going into regions.... i sat out the open 400 becaue we were going to go for the team title, only to have our second best runner run in the wrong lane for 17 consecutive steps... not bitter or anything....

senior year... reinjured the knee that i hurt in bball had to hang up the spikes

    Cross country

    personal best... 5k in 17:32

What were your open 400 and 800 times?

And 17:32 is a pretty damn good 5k.

I played jv and var tennis.... was assistant coach for the girl's soph team in my varsity year.

I never played tennis in my life before joining, don't even remember touching a tennis racket before in my life. But the team was desperate for members, and none of us really had any experience.

Needless to say, we sucked big time and the only reason I got any points was due to my athleticism.

I wanted to play basketball.... tried out my soph year but didn't make it, although I had a very solid tryout. I figured the coaches were racially biased (I'm Mexican) so I didn't bother trying out again.

Wanted to play football, but my mom didn't let me.

Didn't care for baseball, soccer or track.

The only reason I tried out for tennis was for the girls...mmmm... mmmm... mmm.

Too bad I was shy, skinny, short, dark and full of pimples and chicks usually considered me the 'friend' type. I was also nervous and awkward around them, so any chances ultimately failed.

Although, I do remember a few cute girls having crushes but I was to oblivious about it at the time, and to scared to act on it.
