LOL, you answered your own question. Its quite simple, people want to wear them because they're incredibly comfortable. Not for their looks, but for their feasible utility of comfort.

Because I was curious??? I see it a lot but don't understand why it is so popular, or why people keep them on in the first place.
Isn't that inherent in even quasi-cognizant people? Asking questions when they don't understand??
