Re: Ric Bucher: It's not Miami
I think he will end up in Miami and any semblance of respect I had left for him will be lost.
NBA will become so predicable imo, with either the Lakers or Miami winning it every year for the foreseeable future.
People keep saying that Miami wont be able to put together a quality 'team'. That is obviously a very valid argument. However, there is no doubt in my mind that the cream of the min-salaries etc will go to Miami to pick up a ring in the next year or two. That cycle will continue for the next 5-6 years and although they will never have a deep squad with quality throughout, they will have enough to get them over the line.
I wanted him to go to the Bulls as it would have been great for the league. But at this point I dont care where he goes as long as its not Miami.
NBA is now officially a joke and barely worth watching anymore imo.

Re: Regardless of what happens, Miami is the new "Mecca of Basketball"
Doesn't the Heat have a pretty bad fanbase? Could be wrong but I thought there attendence was down and Miami's love is for there football team or w.e?. Thought I heard that anyways.

Because it is close enough to NYC to kick the intrigue up several notches, but ESPN HQs are also in CT, so there are other 'reasons' it could be there.
....just another ingredient in the attention wh0re stew.

Re: Regardless of what happens, Miami is the new "Mecca of Basketball"
Miami still have a lot of flaws that they need to fix or holes need to be filled. Since they are basically doing a complete make over on their team, they have no center, no sf, a mehish pg, and no bench. I don't know about the coaching. There are still a lot of teams out there that could grab the good role players.

Boston, the new Lebrons, Orlando, Chicago, and maybe Atlanta would at least be as good as the heat if they only had wade/bosh.
