Minny was in the playoffs for 8 of KGs 12 seasons there. Cleveland was in the playoffs for 5 of Lebron's 7 seasons.

Both guys played on competitive regular season teams that didn't have the stuff to make it in the playoffs.

The staging of the intro weekend has been fascinating. It looks wrong to see James anywhere else but in the middle spot, and I've already detected him shifting uncomfortaby at least a couple times throughout the proceedings in his side-spot.

Having said that, the Heat couldn't have arranged it any other way. It would seem even more wrong to have Wade, who has left it all out on the court every night for that franchise for seven straight years, off to the side.

The initial graphics in the Miami Herald and Palm Beach Post were completely disrespectful to Wade. James was featured prominently in the forefront and center with Wade and Bosh off to the side in the background.

It will be very interesting to watch if any of this "small stuff" becomes bigger as the year wears on....

The team with the best record has historically had the best chance to win the title. Of course the team with the best record generally has a star that comes through in the playoffs.

The Cavs-Celtics series certainly contributed to the legend of King James, just not in a good way.

James is 25 and is leaving a team that won 61 games.
KG was 31 and left a team that won 32 games.

Anyone who thinks they are comparable has brain damage.
