that show was an absolute riot. between chapelle and arrested development, nothing in the last 5 years has come close to matching how much humor can be packed into a half-hour show

I would rank the chapelle show over in living color imo.... i mean in living color basically paved the way for sketch comedy (well after johnny carson that is). I mean dave wasnt just funny as hell but a lot of the messages in his skits went over peoples heads he is a very intelligent dude.

wrong on both counts.

sketch comedy has been on TV since the beginning (as well as radio) and is essentially a continuation of vaudeville.
