I might be mistaken but I think NY strip/Delmonico is off the short loin (t-bone) portion. Sirlon over here is strictly the top side cut above the rear tenderloin. "Surloine" in French is above the loin. ofc the tenderloin/fillet(UK) is the best overall piece though, and that even goes to around

In the states what's marketed as sirloin is usually from round/flank/chcuk area and costs about 3.50-5.50 a pound. New York Strip/Rib Eye/Delmonico can be found on sale for 5.99-9.99 a pound, and Beef Tenderloin/Filet is between 13.99-19.99 a pound in a grocery store type place. If you were to buy the latter two from a butcher they would likely be 15.99-23.99 a pound and of higher quality.

i have no idea what passes as chicken over there but why would you ever buy a chicken product that is 'formed' or 'processed', avoid those two words and also the word 'shaped'. thats not real chicken.
