A damn shame he had to play with one hand to play like he should.
He does do all those things, even when Melo is obviously going to score himself. He's open twice as often as they find him, and he pulls his defender around the court and away from the ball. I made note of it on several possessions today.

The one who does nothing off the ball is Melo. He needs to get in the habit of moving just for movement's sake, until he learns to properly work for his team mates instead of just getting himself the post up and then standing and watching. Right now it's not as big a problem because he literally always has the ball, but if the Knicks want to contend, that isn't going to be the case.

It's the play calling. Woody and D'Antoni don't do a great job getting their bestp layers open. the assue they're good enough to get theirs. They try to get the role players like Novak,Chandler and Landry shots. Remember in the beginning of the year where we used to run that hard double screen for Shumpert to get an alley oop at least once a game. Well how come we dont run the same stuff for our stars? We dont get our best guys easy buckets.

Well, it's easier to get open shots for guys the defense isn't as focused on. But I hear you.

Not sure why he's working on his offense, he isn't getting any shots.

Unless he's planning on finishing the season with a different team...

He'll get more if he could make the ones he get with getting blocked.

But seriously though, having some type of new move isn't so bad, he needs versatility in his offense.

That isn't the reason. If it were based strictly on merit, Carmelo, who shoots in the low forties and misses layups because he doesn't jump high enough, wouldn't have been leading the team in attempts.

The offense is what it is.
