After that Ellis is definitely in the next tier of Kobe, Ellis, Pierce, CP3
That's fair. I can respect this list. While a lot of people judge scorers by their scoring skillset/arsenal, you ask a coach, and ten out of ten times they pick the more efficient one.

Well 9 times out of 10 I agree. But Melo can shoot it from anywhere, post you up, hit terrific layups. Get to the line. to me he's the total package, when it comes to that.

Yeah. I think gauging a players ability to score is somewhere in the middle. I don't want my guy shooting under league %, but I also don't him to be limited, chucking jumpshots because of his inability to create his own shots consistently.
ATM here's my list:
LeBron
Wade
Kobe
Dirk
Durant
IMO, the perfect balance.

I can roll with that. It's got perfect balance and they can all do it in a variety of ways
Like here's how I overall do it I guess
Efficiency (percentages)
Variety of ways to score
Clutch
and lack of turnovers.(i feel like this shouldn't factor into his efficiency and be it's own area)
Basically there's pretty much a strong consensus at the top 7 or so.

Yup. Some days I think Durant is better than Melo because of his stellar FT shooting, and other days I think it's Melo because of his full arsenal on the perimeter (especially with his work in the post).

Yep I can see that, like if Durant shot better from 10-23 feet...He'd rise on my list.

Re: Best Scorer in the League.
correct answer is durant, as much as i dislike him, he's the best pure scorer the league has
lebron's my favorite player and can get 40 any given night if he sets his mind to it, same with melo, but they are not the type of scorer durant is
durant in like kobe, the type of player that can explode for 50+ even 60+, and kobe isn't what he used to be anymore, so durant is the only correct answer

Well Nash's scoring is nothing special, its his passing that makes him a great offensive player, his shooting is one of the best but certain defenses shut him down quite easily but then again he can just pass out of it

Re: Best Scorer in the League.
I would of said kobe several years ago but today I would probably go with durant or maybe melo
you can never underestimate the driving power of lebron/wade though = freethrows
