Amazingly the only person who hasn't updated their twitter is Chris Sheridan.

Guess he really had the scoop...he is half way there.

knicks are gonna wind up getting carmelo on the dirt-ass-cheap

said this to a co-worker two days ago:
watch him stay with the nuggets for the rest of the year and just sign or agree to a hilarious sign and trade at the end of the year

nets know he's not gonna re-sign there. it'd be stupid to give up anything of significant value. knicks know he wants to come to nyc, so they can afford to be patient with his time contract expiring (explaining their patience and how little they've put forward for this deal)

everybody called everybody's bluff and now nothing will happen until either the deadline and the knicks get him for dirt-cheap or the offseason, when they get him for nothing or next to nothing

Before the season started I was 50% trade him and 50% don't .

Denver should of played him every minute of every game he was healthy to get ever penny out of him.
He IMO acted some what like a punk through the season ... .

See Vince Carter final year in Toronto.

    -----------
The other idea was to trade him as soon as possible.

So Denver tween'd it ..... whether they got /get what they wanted is for us to judge in a year or two.

he's ****ing denver pretty bad, but he wants to be a knick - can't fault a man for having preferences

Knicks package will the same as it was always was going to be. Get one of Gallo\Chandler\Fields and whatever pick they can give up. People are kidding themselves if Knicks are going to get Melo for Eddy Curry or something. FA isn't what Melo wants to do like it's been explained 100x with the CBA and so forth.

Doesn't really matter cause regardless of what Knicks fans there's no way they turn down Melo for Gallo\1st and Curry. Just wouldn't happen.

NJ needed this deal just as much as Denver did. NJ would have actually been half decent with this deal. Now Net's fans will try and preach the future when it's completely uncertain. Free agency doesn't seem to work out well for you guy's so I'd hope you get lucky in the draft because that's probably your only hope at eclipsing the big 30 win mark

I'm sorry to say this. But you will probably be going with the same situation. Why would the knicks trade for him when he can just sign as a FA? the Nets have pulled out. it will be a similar situation the the cavs.
I'd rather build in the draft than with a whiny "superstar". Denver got greedy. At least the Nets have Lopez. Who will be the Denver building block? undersized Ty Lawson. okay. Cavs 2.0?

    Number 15 is retired.

Cavs 2.0? Why do people have this thought that Melo carries Denver? It's nowhere near like LeBron. Lawson undersized? Ok. Your center grabs 5.9 rebounds a game. Melo out boards your starting center. Denver without Melo is still much better than NJ. If they choose to go in the direction of rebuilding and getting cap space + sucking than you may LOL at them. But not until the Net's breech the 30 game win mark. Should be an unwritten rule.

How about Gallo OR CHandler, Curry, and 2011 and 2013 picks (we'll trade Randolph for 2012, keep that one, give you the other two). We'll throw in Walker if absolutely necessary.

    We on?
