okay I am going to answer this fairly and assume it wasn't just made to troll me...
it feels like an unfair question because as far as tourism goes, Dallas is terrrable...I am not sure what a tourist would want here...maybe see where JFK got his head blow off...
but as far as living?...I have many friends that came from northern cities like Philly, Chicago, Bullalo, ect...I have yet to find one that says life isn't better here...and that is not me trolling the north, that is me just being honest...thy hate the bitter cold...the nightlife here is superior, the women are tan and fit...the professional sports scene is huge in Dallas...Cowboys, Mavs, Rangers...eh, Stars...more strippers here than in Vegas
boring place to live?...NO WAY
boring place to take a vacation to?...YES

Re: What's the most boring big American city?
Isn't San Antonio's River Walk supposed by really cool? I've never been.
I'd vote for Jacksonville based on the places I've been, and it was so lame I'd probably count it just in theory against any major city. That Florida coastline isn't even any good. Tampa is about 1000 times better.
A sleeper that I didn't like, San Diego. And I spent a lot of time there. It's just too moderate all the time. Too laid back an atmosphere for me. The weather never changes, which I know some people say it's perfect all the time, but I hated the lack of change. The work scene was pretty lousey too. Many people work in service, taking the tip you give them to give it back to you in your service job the next night. And there's a huge influx of young military due to it's air force base, which more often than not means overly riled drunk guys who can't handle there liquor or there egos. I don't know, there just wasn't enough going on for me. But I'm not a beach guy either, so that doesn't help. Can't be too hard on it though because the quality of woman is top shelf.
And a sleeper that I really like. Pittsburgh. Excellent food. The steel worker history lends to a great variety of hard drinking type places that are right up my ally. Very blue collar and down to earth. A committed and smart sports fanbase. And I've had luck with women there too.
Cleveland is a great city too.

I'm one of those people. We learned a tad about this disorder in class the other day and I guarantee you that's in me. I'm a miserable SOB about 5 months out of the year. If it's below 50 I'm pissed.

Consistent overcast skies are what gets to me.
I'll take sunny and 20 degrees over cloudy and 45.

I'd take 90 and humid over anything below 40. I literally cannot stand the cold. I'm not one of those people that says "The cold is better because you can just put on more clothes and stay warm!" No sir, gimme the heat.

And I'm not just saying this to troll the Dallas ISHers, it just seems like a really boring place to live/visit, especially for the fourth largest metro center in the US.
googled a boring city list and Dallas came out on top http://www.ranker.com/list/the-most-...been-to/mollie
As for most boring city that I've been to? Probably Buffalo though it's useful to me because of the outlet stores. Drove through Jacksonville before, looked for something to maybe do there but good lord was the city boring.
I had a BLAST in Dallas.
Columbus, OH is very boring if you don't go to the University (in some capacity its bigger than Cleveland).
Salt Lake City is boring if you don't like outdoor activities and winter sports.

Columbus won't blow anyone away, but it has an good nightlife, an AAA minor league baseball team, a pro hockey team, OSU sports (if that's your thing, it's not mine), some good museums, great shopping areas, etc.
