Before any of the people from Spain sailed to the new world, their country/territory had been invaded/conquered by other groups several times...most notably a 500 year occupation by Northern African Moslems.


Race mixture and culture mixture was a fact of life for the Spanish before the very first ship sailed to the western hemisphere.
