Default Were the Shooting Guards in MJ's Era more Elite than the ones in Kobe's era?

    Dwayne Wade
    Joe Johnson
    Tracy McGrady
    Vince Carter
    Manu Ginobili
    Allen Iverson
    Ray Allen
    Monta Ellis
    Brandon Roy
(I know I'm missing a bunch of other great 2 guards Kobe has faced agianst)

Was the 90's decade known for being a deadbeat @ the 2 Guard Spot like the Center position today?

    How?

I'm actually believing/thinking that the shooting guard position MJ face was no where near as good the one's Kobe had played against

    Cydle Drexler
    Mitch Richmond
    Reggie Miller (was he a 3 or a 2)

Comparing those guys to the guys I listed on the op is ridiculous

IF I recall when 2000 was ushered in , bball forums asked the same question- can anyone shoot the ball

Jump shooters were horrible when it came to percentages ..
but of course the 15-20 year olds will tell me this is the era of the great SG defenders and shooters of bball history ... never mind that the PF spot has at least 25 exceptional athlete's history has never seen at one time.
