Re: Real Talk: How Big of a Reach was Tristan Thompson @ 4?
The guy is undersized.. He will not make anything big for the Cavs. Dude is only going to be a bench player for Hickson and Varajao.

Why did the Cavaliers drafted this guy? They should have drafted Jonas Valančiūnas.

Makes you wonder if there was a mandate from dan gilbert to get someone that can help right now and keep this team from being a laughing stock.
Cuz it does seem like a pretty shitty pick.

With Kanter off the board, Valanciunas seemed like the most logical pick...worst case scenerio Val comes over 3 years later to what we would see a much more developed player and i'm sure there would be scouts from cleveland to track his progress and make him improve on parts of his game that the cavs as a team want to see from him...and that's worst case. He could very well be in the pros this upcoming year or year after.
I mean, where the hell are the Cavs going this upcoming year anyways?? Go ahead and stay in Europe, better chance @ the #1 pick again in a very deep draft next year

people keep saying this but there seemed like some really good talents that went very late also like Hamilton...
it seemed like this Tristan pick to the Cav's and the Knicks pick were the 2 most controversial judging by the fans
the Knick fans were so funny when their pick was announced, it was the highlight of the draft :
