Anyways, this was a thread response to the "Jay Z before he was.....well Jay Z". I noticed how nobody had any problem with that thread, but when it's about Pac, the warriors come out in full force.

Speaking of music. I find Pac to be one of the most overrated rappers there is. Jay Z would rap circles around him.

Funny how misleading public perception can be. Tupac is the original OG and he didn't even really grow up in the "hood" as pictured by many hip-hip songs. Tupac's mother was the wife of a preeminent Black Panther and Tupac himself went to a private liberal arts High school and university.

This is why he was so brilliant in building up his imagine.. he actually took classes on how to do so. You could also say this of Nas of a lesser extent but Tupac actually took the upper middle class education that was given to him and then wasn't afraid to actually step up as far as his "street credibility" goes.
